I had this Marx Navarone playset in the collection for many years and one day decided I needed more shelf space because this sucker takes up a big chunk of display real estate. I *will* combine shipping whenever possible. You know every now and then we show something from the collection that has since been sold and today were doing it again. The box shows signs of storage but is likewise solid with the major issues show, notably the front three corners have some dings and slight tear to the upper right corner, and a small nick to the front litho as shown. The Navarone play set didn't seem to suffer from the anti war toy stance in the early 1970s, in fact, when Marx went under a few years later, Mego even released this set and later retooled it for their Eagle Force line of toys.

Includes 32 US GIs plus stretcher (please note the crouching Machine Gunner is not in the main pic, but it is as shown in the solo pic), and 32 Germans. There is some light play wear overall evident but the set is very solid. The playmat is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. You will find this to be an outstanding example of this playset - clean and complete with just a few signs of play wear as noted: The shorter yellow ladder has the end tab missing (the tall ladder is intact), and a few of the figures have some stress to the weapons (crouching machine gunner shown as probably the worst example). (I have some extra figures listed in another lot). I used Playset Magazine #122 to verify the contents and filled in some figures that were missing with another lot I purchased to be 100% complete. I bought this one and to keep it in my office at Hasbro for inspiration to make a GI Joe vs Cobra Mountain playset, but alas it was never to be. I had a different set as a kid and I LOVED it.
